This summer, take a day trip to Bribie Island with your dogs to enjoy an off leash dog beach.

Off leash dog beaches are rare.  If you are looking for a off leash dog beach, look no further than Bribie Island.

Moreton Bay Shire Council have 3 designated off leash dog areas on Bribie Island:

  • In the enclosed area marked by official signs forming part of Cosmos Park.  Cosmos Park is on the corner of Sunderland Drive and Cosmos Avenue.
  • On the beach from Red Beach car park around to Woody Bay, Woorim, Bribie Island (see map)
  • On the beach from Woody Bay to the pathway opposite the Koolamara at the corner of Lowry and Benelong Streets, Woorim, Bribie Island (see map)

Red Beach, Bribie Island is the favourite summer beach destination for Sian, Shakira & Axel who are all trained at Aylwards.

Directions to Red Beach – Off leash dog beach – Bribie Island.

Red Beach can be difficult to find, so follow these directions to get to the beach your dogs will love!

  1. Head to the Sunshine Coast via the Bruce Highway.
  2. Take exit 152-Lower King Street for State Route 85 towards Bribie Island/Kilcoy
  3. Follow signs for Bribie Island/Bribie Island Road and merge onto Lower King St/State Route 85
  4. Continue to follow State Route 85
  5. Go through 1 roundabout, travel approximately 20km
  6. At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto Bribie Island Rd/State Route 85
  7. Slight left onto Welsby Parade
  8. Go through 1 roundabout
  9. Continue onto Toorbul St
  10. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Spowers St
  11. Turn right onto Gregory St
  12. Turn left onto Tully St, follow the signs to Red Beach.
